Often times those who experience abuse in their childhood don’t begin recovering from the psychological wounds until much later in life. Trauma related pop ups / episodes begin to surface sometimes decades after the abuse took place. But, there are tools and proven approaches that can help you on your path to recovery, no matter how much time has passed. For a healthier emotional expression, increased self-awareness and more satisfying relationships, therapies such as narrative exposure, CBT, EMDR, DBT, family systems and ACT offer healing and recovery.
