During her tenure, she grew the PM team to over twenty people, helped Asana's go from $0 to more than $100 million in annual recurring revenue, and launched Asana's associate product manager program. She has worked as a PM for Google and Microsoft as well, and in a diverse set of PM roles—consumer, B2B, platform, mobile, and growth. She has been a manager and manager of managers. Her first book, Cracking the PM Interview, has been credited with helping to level the playing field for PM talent. Moderator Bio Lakshmi Ashok is Objective-She’s Product Lead and a Software Engineer at Uber. She holds a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Prior to Uber, Lakshmi was a Product Manager and Engineer at a startup to build globally-acclaimed mobile apps for children with Autism and Cerebral Palsy and help make every voice heard. Her interests lie in the intersection of Technology and Social Impact, as she strives to contribute to experiences that make a difference. Outside of work, Lakshmi is trained in classical dance and martial arts, dabbles in painting occasionally, and loves to check places off her bucket lists. :) |
