Karim Younis, a Palestinian man who has been incarcerated in an Israeli prison for 40 years, has been freed.

He was arrested in 1983 on charges of being a member of the then-banned Fatah movement, “possession of weapons,” and “killing an Israeli soldier” and was originally sentenced to life in prison before his sentence was commuted to 40 years.
