In this Vlog we continue our time in Normandy as we explore the American D-Day landing sites of June 6th, 1944. We start at the American Cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach. This is the stunningly beautiful cemetery that featured in Saving Private Ryan. From there we visit the Overlord Museum where Ross isn't quite sure if he has seen a Tiger Tank. Then a stroll along Omaha beach which saw incredibly hard fighting on D-Day. We have lunch in the small town of St Mere Eglise, famous for the monument of John Steele from the 82nd Airborne who got snagged on the church tower. We visit Utah Beach, the 101st Easy Company memorial at Brecourt Manor and finish off our tour at the German War Cemetery.
