July 14 in France is like July 4 in the US. Every year in Paris, they celebrate with a massive military parade with a big airplane flyover. You can watch it from the Champs Elysee, but the crowds are oppressive. In 2013, we decided to go down to the river to see if we could catch the flyover. We were on the Pont d'Arcole in a perfect position. Shot with a Canon SX230 pocket camera, so excuse the jumpiness!
