In the Asian American community, talking about mental health is often considered taboo. But more people are realizing the importance of addressing the issue.
The two mass shootings this past week --that involved multiple Asian victims --came at a time when the community is supposed to be celebrating Lunar New Year.
Meanwhile, Saturday, January 28th marks one year since the beating death of an Asian elderly man, Vicha Rantanapakdee in SF. That was a case of Asian Hate.
We talk to local AAPI community advocates and leaders about how challenging this time is and what resources there are out there in the Bay Area.
