A "Doomsday Clock" measuring how close humanity is to its end has warned we're "sleepwalking into nuclear war" as the conflict in Ukraine rages on.

The Doomsday clock gives an estimate of how close humanity is to destroying itself with self-made problems like nuclear war or climate change, according to the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, which monitors the clock.

Earlier this month, the Bulletin's associate editor for nuclear affairs, François Diaz-Maurin, penned the article "Nowhere to Hide: How a Nuclear War Would Kill You and Almost Everyone Else" in response to Vladimir Putin's ongoing war in Ukraine.
