As Long as We Treat Humans, Let Us be Humane | Angela Chen | TEDxShanghaiAmericanSchoolPuxi |
|
In a culture conditioned by the permanence of labels and the unchangeability of flaw, the ways we see others and the diagnostic systems we use to that end — although long-standing and often effective — lack a clear-eyed perception of what it means to be human. How can we, on a micro and macro-level, change this? Angela is a current senior at Shanghai American School Puxi, an incoming freshman at Brown University, as well as an avid reader, writer, tea-brewer, and lover of psychology. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
