Roku devices are consumer focused devices and not something I'm going to recommend to enthusiasts looking for a home theater device. I think the Nvidia Shield TV is probably the best home theater box at the moment.

But Roku does make good consumer hardware that has the most available services on a single device right now. Amazon, YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, HBO, etc. are all available. Basically everything except Apple iTunes content can be viewed on the Roku.

My recommendation for those looking for 4k content is to consider the Premiere+. It has most of the features the Ultra has minus the USB port, voice search, and optical audio port. But it costs under $100 and brings a very usable HDR 4k solution.
