Towards the end of July 2022, The Los Angeles Police Department attempted to make arrests on two individuals in two seperate incidents that were unrelated to each other, the circumstances however were.

On the 18th of July 2022, officers out of the LAPD attempted to make an arrested on a known gang member, however they didn't get out of their patrol vehicle & give chase, they opened fire from within the vehicle.

Then on the 22nd of July 2022, the LAPD had been called to the scene where an incident had taken place involving an Airforce Veteran. Officers initally tried to engage with him, they believed he was armed with a firearm but they realised he wasn't.

When he flashed the object towards a patrol car, the officer inside opened fire on him.
