This is a quick study on the reality of Equality Rights in Canada today, illustrating the fallacy of the "privileged straight white male" claim made by feminist social justice warriors. I examine section 15 of the Charter of Rights & Freedoms that was essentially recreated by women's groups in the 1980's for the purpose of defining disadvantaged groups through litigation. Since the Conservative Harper gov't, much funding was dissolved for women's rights groups, but laws & policies effected by previous litigation are still in place. Now that the Liberals are in power it remains to be seen if public funding streams will be restored for these groups, further marginalizing the straight white, able-bodied, sane male.
