In this two-part documentary, Ross Kemp goes inside the walls of HMP Belmarsh, the country's most notorious maximum security jail, which has housed the country's most dangerous - and infamous - convicts, including Ian Huntley, Ronnie Biggs and Charles Bronson. With unprecedented access, Ross explores how staff cope with high-profile extremists, crime lords, gang members and common criminals all crammed under one roof. He goes inside the famed High Security Unit (HSU) - the only 'prison within a prison' in England and Wales - where he meets the alleged mastermind of a drug-smuggling empire, and steps inside 'The Box', the isolated cell where the HSU's most difficult and dangerous end up. He also witnesses the daily struggle to control and prevent clashes between members of opposing gangs - and the unique measures Belmarsh is taking to rehabilitate them.
