BBC reporter assumes Israel behind Gaza hospital air strike live on air |

A BBC journalist speculated Israel was responsible for the deadly airstrike at a Gaza hospital because the explosion was so big compared to blasts from rockets previously fired out of the city.
Jon Donnison said it was "hard to see" past the Israeli military as the perpetrators of the attack which killed hundreds of people at the Al Ahli Arab hospital. Reacting to the bombing on BBC News, he noted "we've never seen explosions of that scale" as he compared the blast to previous rocket attacks launched from within the Hamas-controlled territory. Hamas has blamed the Israeli military for the bombing while Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas said targeting the hospital was a “hideous war massacre”. But the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), which launched an investigation on Tuesday, has since denied all responsibility and claimed the explosion was caused by a misfired rocket launched by Islamic Jihad, a group allied with Hamas terrorists. The terror group has dismissed the claim. The Telegraph has contacted the BBC and Mr Donnison for comment.
