Zwift speed and cadence sensor equipment setup overview |
|
This is a 5 minute primer on a budget Zwift setup using a dumb magnetic trainer and Garmin speed and cadence sensors. The Garmin Part number for the sensors is 010-12845-00 and it runs about $100. The ANT+ USB stick is made by ANSELF and can be found for about $20. The training tire is made by Vittoria and is the Zaffiro pro model at roughly $50. I used a cheap road rear wheel that had a 10 speed hub that matched my 10 speed cassette and then I could easily switch back and forth between riding on the road and on the trainer. I only use the tacx training skewer on the trainer as the skewer that came with the bike isn't meant for trainer use.
