Al-Fajr is the eighty-ninth chapter of the Quran, with 30 ayat or verses. The sura describes destruction of disbelieving peoples: the Ancient Egyptians, the people of Iram of the Pillars, and Mada'in Saleh. It condemns those who love wealth and look with disdain upon the poor and orphans.

सूरा अल-फज्र कुरान का 89वां सूरा है। इसमें 30 आयतें हैं। अल-फ़ज्र: क़ुरआन का 99 वां अध्याय (सूरा) है. यह सूरा विश्वास ना रखने वाले लोगों के विनाश के बारे में वर्णन करता है, जैसे प्राचीन मिस्र के लोग और स्तंभों वाले ईरम के लोग।

Benefits of Reciting Surah Fajr. Prophet Muhammad has said that whoever recites surah Fajr in the first ten days of the lunar Islamic month of Dhu al-Ḥijjah, their sins will be forgiven, and if they recite it at other times, it will be a source of illumination for them on Qiyamah.
