Maoridom is mourning the loss of a legend of kapa haka, Dr Ngapo Wehi. The 82-year-old from Te Whakatōhea, Ngāi Tūhoe, Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Kahu and Te Whānau a Apanui died early yesterday morning. Ngapo, also known as Bub, was a colossus of Māori performing arts leading two major Māori haka groups to the national title.
