CGD Migration, Displacement, and Humanitarian Policy Program Launch: Keynote

video thumbnail
SRSG Arbour discussed the state of play for international migration policy and governance. The Global Compact for Migration is a critical agreement toward better migration governance and partnerships for the decades to come. The SRSG stressed the importance of understanding and delving into the relationship between migration and development—migration can be a vehicle for development, and the relationship should be considered foundational in migration policy, in addition to the economic, social, and related lenses.

These highlights are from a panel at the 2018 launch event of the new CGD program on Migration, Displacement, and Humanitarian Policy. Watch the full event here: https://www.cgdev.org/event/cgd-program-launch-migration-displacement-and-humanitarian-policy
