Talk Abstract:
------------------------ Video Conferencing is implemented in a wide variety of mobile applications using a common open-source library, WebRTC. This talk explores the consequences that a vulnerability in WebRTC has on these applications. It describes the process of finding a vulnerability in WebRTC and exploiting it in a number of applications. It also provides recommendations on how to reduce the impact that vulnerabilities in WebRTC have on mobile applications. Speaker Bio: --------------------- Natalie Silvanovich is a security researcher on Google Project Zero. Her current focus is the security of mobile messaging applications. Previously, she worked in mobile security on the Android Security Team at Google and as a team lead of the Security Research Group at BlackBerry, where her work included finding security issues in mobile software and improving the security of mobile platforms.
