Mental health issues affect many students and people in the workplace. Unlike a physical health issue which are visible, many sufferers of mental health suffer in silence, unable to tell friends, family, teachers or co-workers. A mental health challenge is no different to a physical health challenge. This talk is about the need to share and treat mental disorders, and how treatment is much better with the support of friends, family, and colleagues. Born in Canada, raised in Germany, I call Japan home. I have enjoyed a 25-year career in the front ranks of digital media, from mobile phone content to streaming with NTT DoCoMo, Disney, YouTube and recently Warner Bros Discovery. My chosen field is digital media but my calling and passion are to help others develop a global mindset, from cross-cultural communication, diversity, equity and inclusion, to leadership presence and influence.
