Fashion from waste | Natalie Glaze | TEDxAUEB

video thumbnail
Sweet, bold and determined, Natalie Glaze is the girl next door who grew up with the need to discover, process and better the environment in which she lives. With her main inspiration being her mom who taught her to be dynamic and independent, she decided to follow her own path and chase her dreams at a time when they seemed incompetent. Today, she’s a London-based blogger, creator, business consultant and founder of Stay Wild Swim, a premium swimwear brand made from regenerated ocean plastic.

Stay Wild Swim combines luxurious swimwear pieces with ethics, sustainable practices, empowering women and creativity. Designed to flatter every woman, the pieces have a purpose with every element considering people and the planet. Stay Wild Swim is the brand of Selfridges Bright New Things, which recently partnered with Instagram in their worldwide “Founders” campaign, and was promoted to the Evening Standard as “one of the best sustainable brands you should have in your radar”. Natalie is also the founder of “Book Swap Club” who recently collaborated with Facebook, creating support sites for women and emerged from Vogue as one of the Top Eco Influencers to follow.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
