In late 2015, after watching videos of Syrians in life rafts, fleeing unspeakable horrors in their home country, she felt compelled to take a leave of absence from her job and go help. This is her story of traveling to Greece during the Syrian refugee crisis.

Sara’s a professional photographer in Lincoln. She works both full time as a photographer for Olsson Associates Engineering and part time as photographer for her own business, The Open Road Photographer. She is a serial traveler and volunteer and loves nothing more than getting behind a cause.
