From jailed teenager to award-winning poet: Reginald Dwayne Betts was involved in a carjacking at 16, spent more than eight years in adult prison, and since his release has turned his life around, earning a degree from Yale Law School and penning several critically acclaimed works. His new poetry collection "Felon" tells the effect of incarceration on identity. He speaks with Michel Martin about the power of the written word and the importance of forgiveness.
