Priya Prakash Varrier was born on 28 October 1999 to Prakash Varrier, a Central Excise Department employee and Preetha, a homemaker at Punkunnam, Thrissur in Kerala.] She attended school at Sandeepani Vidya Nikethan, Thrissur. In 2018, Varrier enrolled in Bachelor of Commerce course at Vimala College, Thrissur

She played the role of Priya in the 2019 movie Oru Adaar Love, a romantic drama set in a school.[9] The trailer on YouTube, which includes Varrier winking, had received over 97 million views as of April 2020. Her wink was said to have gone viral.[10] The song "Manikya Malaraya Poovi" from Oru Adaar Love was deemed to be offensive by some Muslims, as the lyrics reference Khadijah, the wife of Prophet Muhammad. A first information report relating to this was filed against Varrier and the film's creators, and subsequently rejected by the Supreme Court of India.

In 2019 the song "Nee Mazhavillu Polen," which Varrier sings with Naresh Iyer for the film Finals which starred Rajisha Vijayan in the lead role was released. She was cast in the Hindi film Sridevi Bungalow, which was in production as of JanuarY 2020.

She debuted in Telugu language in 2021 playing the second female lead in Check in which she played a honey trapper opposite Nithin and Rakul Preet Singh.
