INTRO: We all know the relationship between Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, and we’ve probably been a Jelena shipper at least once! Now that they are happily living their own lives, Justin married Hailey Baldwin, and Selena living her own life, how would Justin react if Selena finally has her own life partner?

As young as 16 and 18 respectively, Justin and Selena started dating. At this point, it is safe to say they were each other’s first loves. Their on-and-off relationship has been in the spotlight for many years until finally calling it quits in 2018 and Justin moved on to marry the American model and socialite, Hailey Baldwin - Bieber. But what is the story between Justin and Selena? They were first seen together at an IHOP chain cuddling. At the time, Selena was 18 and Justin was 16. However, they denied the dating rumors and Selena explained to Us Weekly that Justin was just one of her best friends and that they were just eating pancakes. Although they denied the dating rumors, they were spotted kissing on New Year’s Eve in St. Lucia in the Caribbean. In February 2011, they made it official by appearing together at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party.

After 2 years of dating, complete with helicopter rides, pregnancy rumors, and Justin renting an entire stadium so they could watch a movie together, they make their first split in November of 2012. It was said that their split included trust issues and their young age. On December 13 of the same year, just days before Christmas, Justin confirms that they were not on speaking terms and that he still loves her. In January of 2014, Jelena fans went nuts after Justin was arrested for drunk driving and accused of vandalism. He was also reeling from losing custody of his pet monkey and received backlash for his new gangster/bad boy image. At the same time, Selena was checked in to rehab for Lupus, which made everyone think was really for drugs and Justin. In July 2014, just months after the arrest, Justin got into a fight once again.
