India is currently the fastest growing major economy. While each state in the country makes its own efforts at making it easier to do business and attract foreign investments, in the recent decade or so, states have been actively competing.

In a welcome sign, each state wants to be the fastest growing economy. Recently, some people claimed that UP had overtaken Karnataka to become the second largest economy in the country.. This had made many people extremely unhappy.

Many states have started taking the aspirational target of USD 1 Trillion Economy quite seriously, though this may be a at least a decade away. In this video we look at the 5 biggest state economies and see how they are transforming. In the next video, we will also look at some of the other states, why they are lagging, what needs to be done to bring the fruits of economic development.
