Why remove the analog headphone jack from the iPhone 7? Courage. When the iPhone 7 shipped Apple removed the 3.5 mm analog headphone jack which had become a de-facto standard. For years, people have used this type of jack to connect their phones to car audio systems and plug in headphones. It was probably the easiest method of getting audio out of the phone. The removal of this jack resulted in a "minor uproar" of YouTube response videos, including my own little parody contribution here. Most of the responses focused on what would be lost, but not being an iPhone user myself I found their keynote presentation even funnier. It was presented by Apple as an act of "courage" but in the next sentence they backtracked and said we also put a 3.5mm adapter in the box...
