A. R. Rahman Clinic at the Berklee Performance Center |
|
A.R. Rahman gives a clinic for Berklee students at the Berklee Performance Center. Listen to Rahman perform music on the continuum (a versatile digital controller and synthesizer), answer questions from students, and speak with a panel including Founder/Director of the Berklee Indian Ensemble, Annette Philip; George Clinton and Alison Plante, Chair and Assistant Chair of the college’s Film Scoring Department; and Kevin Doucette ’05, a Berklee graduate who has worked closely with Rahman on several films, and is now his Musical Director in USA.
A. R. Rahman visited Berklee in Fall 2014 to work with students, receive an honorary doctor of music degree, and be part of a concert celebrating his music and life at Boston's Symphony Hall. Proceeds from the concert were used to create a fund in A. R. Rahman’s name to provide scholarship support for students from India to attend Berklee under the Berklee India Exchange banner.
