Chrystia Freeland, the deputy prime minister and minister of finance, holds a news conference in Toronto following her address at the Empire Club of Canada on the government's efforts to minimize the impact of inflation. The six-point plan highlights increases to the Canada Child Benefit, Canada Workers Benefit, Canada Housing Benefit, and Old Age Security.
