One finger guitar chords for left-handed beginners

video thumbnail
Hi, I'm Al Dworsky and I believe too many left-handed beginners get frustrated and quit guitar. Why? Because the right hand—the hand that makes the chords —is too hard at first in standard tuning.

DADGAD tuning solves that problem. You can make beautiful chords easily with just one or two fingers. This frees you up to focus on your left hand, the hand that generates the rhythm. And that's going to make it possible for you to sound like a real guitar player right from the start. That's what I show you how to do in my new video: "Left-Handed Guitar for Beginners: How to Sound Good Fast with DADGAD Tuning" available as a DVD or a download at http://www.dancinghands.com. This is lesson 3 (out of 11 lessons) in that video.

In the video, I give you clear instruction that goes nice and slow, step by bite-sized step, in lessons that are as beautiful musically as they are visually. Every chord, technique, and pattern is shown from a player's eye view and a side view, and all are illustrated in backyard musical performances by me and Indie-award-winning guitarist Dean Magraw or vocalist Betsy Sansby.

In the past, I've created over 20 bestselling and award-winning instructional books and videos for drummers and other musicians, including How to Play Djembe, The Joy of Six for Piano, and A Rhythmic Vocabulary. All are distributed by Mel Bay and are available at www.dancinghands.com.
