A family is bonded by love, rather than blood. In this talk, you will hear about challenges to the subjective idea of 'normality' and the traditional 'nuclear family'. It will demonstrate the importance of accepting blended families, and the promotion of more individualistic parenting and familiy structures. Clara María Araujo Toriello is a current twelve grade student. Clara’s work in the AP Capstone Program has propelled her interest in social behavior and culture in Guatemala. This year, she is excited to have a positive impact on school culture through the Student Government and the new Student Advisory Forum. Besides these efforts, Clara enjoys dancing, and has participated in multiple competitions. Furthemore, she also enjoys spending time with her loved ones.
