In this video, I discuss Javier Milei winning Argentina's presidency, and what comes next.

Milei has promised to abolish Argentina's central bank, as well as allowing anyone to use any currency that they wish. What this means in practice is probably a lot more US dollar usage, and more Bitcoin usage as well.

I think that Milei has a really tough road ahead of him. The many, many people (both regular people and politicians and bureaucrats) who have gotten used to living off of government checks and largesse are going to face a difficult adjustment; and many of them will probably do everything in their power to try to sabotage Milei.

But I hold out hope that the majority that elected Milei will give him the power and support that he needs to make deep changes.

Central bankers' greatest nightmare is a politician who talks like Milei:

"The first thing that we have to understand is that the central bank is a scam. It is a mechanism by which politicians cheat the good people with an inflationary tax. What Bitcoin represents is the return of money to its original creator, the private sector. . . Bitcoin is the natural reaction against the central bank scammers."
