SPEAKERS:

Daouda Keita
Director General of the National Museum of Mali and lecturer at the University of Social Sciences and Management in Bamako. One of the initiators of the “cultural banks” project in Mali, he is involved in the fight against the looting of archaeological sites and the illicit sale of cultural goods through information, awareness raising and training of local communities.

Silvana di Lorenzo
Curator at the Juan B. Ambrosetti Ethnographic Museum, FFyL, UBA and professor of Anthropological Sciences, University of Buenos Aires. She has a Master in Conservation – Restoration of Artistic and Bibliographic Assets, from the Universidad Nacional de San Martín.. She is Lecturer of the workshop Collection Management: Conservation and Documentation of Heritage Objects in the career of Specialization in Museums, Cultural Transmission and Management of Anthropological and Historical Collections, Ethnographic Museum, UBA.

Aristotelis Georgios Sakellariou
He is currently the Head of Conservation based at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar Museums. His publication activities include cleaning of galleries, technology and use of display cases, pest management, conservation freezers, care of collections with the potential use of videogames as an educational tool. Previously he was the Head of Conservation and Scientific Research at the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia. He graduated from Northumbria University completing the MA Museum Management (2012) and MA Preventive Conservation (2007)

Anna Bülow
Head of Collection Management at Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. She has specialised in preventive conservation and collection management. She graduated with an MAC from Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada in 1998 and completed her PhD from De Montfort University in Leicester, UK in 2002. She has been Head of Preservation at The National Archives UK until 2012, and Head of Conservation at the British Museum until 2019.
