The Romanoffs, directed by Matthew Weiner is a new contemporary series based on an ancient myth of how one among the Romanov children, Anastasia escaped the executioners and had probably taken a new identity and perhaps started a family of her own. While she lived her life in secrecy, there are people around the globe who believe they are related to the Romanov’s. This anthology series collates stories of eight different people from different countries who believe they are descendants of the Russian royal family I.e they are the Romanoffs.
