So the 2020-21 NBA Season has now officially wrapped up and the team that beat the Brooklyn Nets in a 7 game series in the second round of the Playoffs, the Milwaukee Bucks, were the team that ended up walking away with the Larry O Brien trophy. of course injuries were what ultimately caused the Nets to lose in that second round series, but today I wanna talk about why the Brooklyn Nets’ window to win an NBA Championship with this roster or team very well may be over. So back on January 13th of this year, as a Nets fan as soon as they finally made the trade to acquire James Harden I said that I believed their window for a title may only last the 20-21 season as you might see teams begin to stack their rosters once again, which as of right now looks to be the case. We just saw the recent rumors yesterday that the Lakers are not only interested in acquiring Kyle Lowry, but they’d also like to grab his former teammate DeMar Derozan as well. Then beyond just those two guys the Lakers are also interested in a Free Agent Point Guard and a guy who happens to be a Nets Free Agent, Spencer Dinwiddie. The other day we also heard the rumor that the Lakers would like to do whatever they’d have to in order to acquire Chris Paul or Russell Westbrook in a trade. So if the Lakers weren’t already a threat to the Brooklyn Nets, they certainly would be if they acquired one of or multiple guys of the five that are being reported or talked about. Beyond the Lakers though, now we’re hearing that the Golden State Warriors would like to make a trade themselves to acquire a star or superstar and guys like Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal are reportedly in play to be moved to Golden State. And as I was writing the script for this video two notifications came into my phone about how the Warriors most likely won’t make a trade prior to this year’s NBA Draft but then also the fact that Bradley Beal might be moved prior to the draft, so as usual with the NBA Offseason things really are starting to pick up rumor wise. The Nets themselves have their own players who will be free agents that they need to worry about as well as the players from other teams that will hit the free agency market this summer and would like to join the Brooklyn Nets roster. So today I’m going to break down why I think this Brooklyn Nets’ teams championship window may in fact be over
