Think premium large sedans and the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class probably come to mind, but there's a lesser-known player in the segment: the Genesis G80. From the Hyundai Motor Group, it's looking to make an impact in the segment.
That said, with all-electric vehicles on the rise, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have gone down the EV route with the new zero-emissions i5 and EQE, respectively. Similarly, Genesis has launched the aptly named Electrified G80. In fact, it beat both of its rivals to market.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Emily Agar and her family of three spend a week with the Electrified G80 to find out if it not only has what it takes to deal with the ups and downs of life, but also whether the large sedan is just simply better off being an EV.
