I’ve dreamt of this sandwich my whole life. It was a surreal moment being handed a golden ticket at the front door - I’M ACTUALLY HERE!!! A few steps later I get hit by the magnificent sight of 20 or so cutters slicing pastrami with ferocious speed and deadly precision. At $25 a sandwich, you want something special, more than a picture under the ‘Where Harry met Sally’ sign… This sandwich was indeed very special, and HUGE!! I went for the pastrami on rye with mustard and a side of pickles. Perfect pastrami, beautiful bark, juicy melt in the mouth meat. The pickles are essential. Joined by my good friend Rob, a Welsh expat living in NYC.
