Panelists featured in the video (L to R): Aaron Mahi, Native Hawaiian Musician, Moana Nepia, Assistant Professor at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa School of Pacific & Asian Studies, and our moderator, Heather Giugni, Native Hawaiian Filmmaker and Archivist. Pacific Islanders in Communications (PIC) gives you PIC EXCHANGE; in partnership with the Honolulu Museum of Art, Doris Duke Theatre. In May, we screened Poi E: The Story of Our Song, a film about the unofficial national waiata (anthem) of Aotearoa and the community spirit of Pātea and Dalvanius Prime.
