Matt Giteau costs Australia match against Scotland

video thumbnail
Australia are dominating Scotland in the match between them in November 2009, but brave defence keeps Scotland in the match.

Still the Australian dominance wins them penalties, but their fly half and goal kicker Matt Giteau has a nightmare of a match with the boot. He misses an easy penalty and drop goal in the first half, another penalty in the second half. And then after a try in the last minute from Ryan Cross, he is presented with the chance to win the match for Australia, but again misses.

Giteau was man of the match in the next match against Wales, but the following year in 2010 he again struggled with kicking duties and was dropped in 2011 after a loss against Samoa, and now plays in France for Toulon. His international career seemingly over.
