Bill Morrison talks about his archival work and the importance of preserving our cinematic record in this new interview series from the New York Film Festival. Morrison was at the festival with his new film Dawson City: Frozen Time, which screened in our Spotlight on Documentary section.

NYFF Soft Focus is created by Jeff Reichert & Farihah Zaman. The interviews were shot on a 1986 Jupiter-9 85mm vintage Russian lens, known for its swirly bokeh, which gives the videos their distinctive look.
