GNB has successfully finished the CRK grant project for Prevention of Child Marriage & Child Labor by mobilization CRK (Child Rights Keepers) Child Friendly Village Atmosphere. The objectives of this grant project CRK were 1. Lasting impression among the CRK members in favor of child rights (specially for prevention of child marriage and child labor abuse) 2. Community awareness to create a Child Friendly Environment (child marriage/labor/abuse free society) to Prevention of Child Marriage & Child Labor by mobilization CRK (Child Rights Keepers) .

GNB have arranged CRK training, village base & ward based meeting and meeting with chairman, Upazila based meeting Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Upazila Chairman, Union Chairman, Religious leader and others local elite with CRK for preparation of child friendly village.

The CRK members, Religious leader, Local leaders, community people, local elite persons and children are very happy for these awareness program. GNB also observed National girl’s child day and Universal children day in different places.

Our Success

• 28 CRK members attended in the monthly meeting & training regularly
• Creating awareness on child rights in the community
• 41 bill board Setup on child rights
• 43034 person attend meeting on awareness program and also gathered knowledge child rights
• 36 ward based meeting held for child friendly village
• 11 villages were announced as a child friendly village

Through these activities 11 village changed their village environment. Child Friendly village encourage and they are conscious about the age of marriage (boys/girls). They also know about the rights of all children for the survival, development, protection and participations.
These different works had brought positive changes among community people & local government office as well as make good network with Upazilla & District office level.
