JjaPaGuRi (짜파구리) = Chapagetti Instant Noodles/Black Bean Noodles Ramen (짜파게티) + Neoguri Instant Noodles (너구리)

Jjapaguri noodles (Ram-Don) were featured in the Korean movie [Parasite] (기생충 영화), winner of Oscars 2020 Best Film Of The Year, among other countless awards and MORE Oscar wins. A wealthy family from this movie enjoys a simple instant noodle dish with an upgraded recipe by adding high-quality beef, SIRLOIN STEAK! This noodle dish was also referred to as "ram-don," as per the director's (Bong Joon Ho) for "easier" translation-pronunciation, instead of its real name of this dish, JjaPaGuRi.

Such a polarizing metaphor of how opulent the Park's family is, that they would use high-quality sirloin beef🥩in this cheap instant ramen noodles dish as if the steak cubes were just some onions. Hence, the film's story of its primary conflict between the wealthy and the poor, which is even reflected in how simple instant ramen is enjoyed by the wealthy.

Today's Jjapaguri recipe uses julienned cold-cut ham, instead of sirloin steak.
