Have you ever come across English teachers discrimination by language school directors and recruiters? If you are a Non-Native English Speaker Teacher it is a high possibility.
In this talk Araik comes up with quite an unexpected way of fighting against the nativism and discrimination.

Araik is Director at Nova School of English, Co-Founder and Co-Coordinator of English as a Native Language Project in Russia. He’s worked in the field of translation and education for 15 years. He gives conference talks and runs workshops and teacher training courses.
Araik takes special pride in his trilingual children. His son Carlen at the age of 6 set two Russian Federation ESOL records (A1 & A2 levels), and recently his daughter Emmy at the age of 5 also set a record, becoming the youngest child in Russia holding A1 level ESOL Certificate.
Watch Araik's talk to support Non-Native English Speaker Teachers' movement for professional equality.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
