Sustainability

Polestar 4 features more circular and low-carbon materials, blockchain traceability for risk materials in batteries, and a full lifecycle assessment (LCA) published alongside the Polestar 4 Product Sustainability Declaration in 2024. A mono-material approach ensures recyclability, while new interior materials include 100% recycled PET textile, bio-attributed MicroTech vinyl, and animal welfare-secured Nappa leather upholstery.

Performance

Polestar 4 is the brand's fastest production car, with a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.8 seconds and a maximum power output of 400 kW (544 hp). Both dual- and single motor versions will be available, with single-motor versions featuring rear-wheel drive. A 102 kWh battery is fitted to both long-range versions, with a preliminary range target of up to 560 km WLTP for the Long range Dual motor and up to 600 km WLTP for the Long range Single motor version.

Technology

Polestar 4's infotainment system is powered by Android Automotive OS and the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, utilizing a 15.4-inch landscape-oriented screen. Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play are built-in, with a Harman Kardon audio system and Apple CarPlay available as options. Regular over-the-air (OTA) updates ensure the latest software.

Safety

Polestar 4 features leading safety technology, including the SuperVision Advanced Driver Assistance System from Mobileye. A total of twelve cameras, one radar, and twelve ultrasonic sensors are fitted as standard, with a driver monitoring camera and hands-on detection in the steering wheel to ensure driver engagement.
