Join Dr. Jennifer Spence, Executive Secretary of the Sustainable Development Working Group for the Arctic Council, as she discusses COVID-19, Human Health, and the Arctic. Dr. Spence begins with an overview of the history and make-up of the Arctic Council. Next, Dr. Spence focuses on the unique experiences of Arctic communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, common challenges throughout the Arctic, and areas of opportunity for the region.
The Arctic – A Global Health Perspective Speaker Series 2021 Despite documented health disparities between the circumpolar north and other regions, the Arctic remains an underrepresented area in global health research. This series offers a transdisciplinary look at key global health challenges and opportunities in the High North.
