Caesar Augustus was one of the most influential world leaders in ancient history. Trained in the Roman army by his uncle Julius Caesar, he went on to defeat Mark Antony and Cleopatra in the Battle of Actium and became the first emperor of the Roman Empire. Under Caesar Augustus, an era called the Pax Romana (Roman Peace) was established, and the empire remained relatively stable for 200 years.
