Dallas Mavericks Media Day is in the books as Luka Doncic, Jason Kidd and the rest of the 2022-23 Mavs were back in Dallas at the American Airlines Center to report for Mavericks Training Camp. Mavs’ superstar Luka Doncic has returned to Dallas after a busy summer in Europe playing for Team Slovenia in FIBA World Cup Qualifiers and the Eurobasket 2022. Can Luka take the next step and be an MVP candidate? Mavs head coach Jason Kidd confirmed that free agent addition JaVale McGee will start at center while Christian Wood will serve as the 6th man. It’s expected that Wood will play heavy minutes despite not starting for the Mavericks.

Mavericks trade rumors around Jae Crowder are heating up as NBA Insider Shams Charania reports that the Mavs are among the teams interested in trading for the Suns’ forward. Crowder will get traded by the Phoenix Suns as he and the team have mutually agreed to part ways. The Heat, Celtics and Grizzlies are also interested in trading for Crowder according to Shams.
