week 2: levelling up my art. Focusing on simplifying the human skull and working on structure & proportions. My skull drawing fundamentals are slowly starting to progress. in my first update video (day 7) I was focusing on basically anything when it comes to drawing the human skull and improving my art, including working on finer details. The problem is I still have a lot of difficulty just with the skull structure & proportions. So for this week I decided to go back to basics and really focus on the fundamentals and building a base for the details, focusing on the structure and proportions. For the most part I managed to draw a few skulls / a page or 2 each day working from 3d model reference.

Last week I focused more on using my Proko anatomic skull, this week I used a 3d model on the website Sketchfab by 'VAA' (see link below) I actually found this simplified version perfect for what I was after, and I feel I improved at a much faster rate using this for reference ( plus it was much cheaper than the Proko skull ) I did notice they do have different proportions to one another though, however for now I don't think that's a big issue.
It's worth taking a look at the other skulls they have available too, including a more detailed human skull, and another simplified skull showing the planes very clearly. These models all seem excellent.

I'm not sure whether to do another update at the 21 day mark or just wait until the 30 day mark now, let me know what you think!
