WE ACT for Environmental Justice partnered with the Fountain Valley Clean Water Coalition and the Environmental Working Group to create this webinar to educate frontline communities about the risks of PFAS, a group of chemicals commonly used in the manufacture of products that resist grease, oil, and water – such as non-stick pans, microwave popcorn bags, raincoats, cosmetics, etc. PFAS have been linked to a number of health issues, and the public – and policymakers – are just starting to become aware of the widespread threat these harmful chemicals pose.
