Thank you, Rohit, for such a fun semi-classical workshop! Your energy is infectious and your choreography fluid. And to no one’s surprise, you paired me and my girl Linda to go up together! Linda, my favorite moment came after the camera cut when I leapt onto you with a big bear hug out of pure joy from sharing the floor with you. I’m so glad that though we try and strive for “perfection” in the things we do, that we ultimately recognize what’s more important - to strive to be the best we can be in that moment, to push each other to keep going, and to have a hell of a good time. Especially when learning a new routine from scratch so quickly!

Even with my mistakes here and there, and the countless “ugh I could’ve done that better” moments, I’m going to start also taking stock in the things I’ve done well and given my own unique flare to. ✨

P.S. I’ve wanted to dance to a Jeffrey Iqbal track for ages and am so happy it finally happened! And that, too, on mashup with the beautiful Amir Khusro ghazal ‘Chaap Tilak’ and the legendary Amir Khusro/Bulleh Shah qawwali ‘Mast Qalandar’! Best of so many worlds!
