This applies to the entire range of drives up to the battery-electric Astra-e as well as to its top technologies and its grandiose design. A car with which Opel sets standards and which has everything to become a bestseller again, ”says the new Opel CEO Uwe Hochgeschurtz. The new Opel Astra is a design statement from the brand: more dynamic than ever before, with clear, exciting lines without unnecessary frills and with the new brand face - the Opel Vizor . It shows at first glance from the outside that the Astra is entering a new era. Similar to its predecessor when it was launched in 2015, the newcomer brings innovations to the compact class that customers previously only knew from expensive vehicles. The Astra is making its debut with the latest version of the adaptive Intelli-Lux LED ® pixel light . The lighting system comes directly from the Opel flagship Insignia and, with 168 LED elements, is a leader in the compact and mid-range. The new Astra is 4,374 millimeters long and 1,860 millimeters wide. This means that the next generation of Astra is just four millimeters longer than before. The wheelbase grew by 13 millimeters to 2,675 millimeters. Visually, the Astra makes a sporty appearance - without making any concessions in everyday use: This is also shown by the flexible trunk of the five-seater, which is equipped with an adjustable loading floor. With the seats folded down, up to 1,250 liters of luggage can be stowed here. The new Opel Astra will be available to order from autumn and will be among the first customers from the beginning of 2022.
